An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and reliable Business Administrator Apprentice with an interest in exam administration and educational operations. This apprenticeship offers the chance to gain valuable experience in business administration, customer service, and education support while working towards the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.

Working within a busy educational environment, you support the smooth day-to-day running of administrative systems, assist with exam coordination, and communicate with students, parents, and colleagues. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and keen to develop a career in administration.

Key ResponsibilitiesYou will receive full training and support while developing your skills in the following areas:

Exam Administration

  1. Assist with registering students for examinations, mock assessments, and workshops.
  2. Maintain and update timetables, examination schedules, and student records.
  3. Support the preparation and organisation of examination sessions.
  4. Assist with coordinating invigilation arrangements and examination logistics.
  5. Communicate examination information and outcomes to students and parents.
  6. Ensure records and data are accurate and up to date.

Business Administration

  1. Answer telephone calls and respond to email enquiries in a professional manner.
  2. Provide administrative support across the organisation.
  3. Update and maintain internal databases and record systems.
  4. Prepare documents, reports, schedules, and correspondence.
  5. Follow up with customers regarding outstanding information or payments.
  6. Assist with the organisation of workshops, events, and educational activities.
  7. Learn and support the organisation's internal booking and student management systems.

Working HoursMonday to Friday: 9:00am – 3:00pm. Saturday: 9:00am – 6:00pm. Regular Saturday working is an essential part of this role due to scheduled student activities and examination support.

TrainingYou will work towards the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will receive structured off-the-job training as part of your apprenticeship programme, ongoing support from your apprenticeship tutor and workplace mentor, and practical, hands-on experience in business administration and educational operations.

Career ProgressionSuccessful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to a permanent position, with opportunities to progress into roles such as:
