Graduate schemes are structured programmes — typically one to three years — that rotate you through parts of a business and build towards a permanent role, often with professional qualifications funded along the way. Plenty of graduate jobs sit outside formal schemes too.

Common questions
When do graduate scheme applications open?
Most open in the September to December window for roles starting the following summer, and many close as soon as they're full — so applying early genuinely matters.
Do I need a first or 2:1?
Many schemes ask for a 2:1, but a growing number have dropped degree classification filters entirely in favour of strengths-based assessment.
What if I've already graduated?
Plenty of schemes accept graduates from previous years, and many graduate-level jobs sit outside formal schemes altogether.
