Kick-start your career in finance and business administration with a hands-on AAT Level 2 apprenticeship at a well-established electrical services company based near Whalley, Clitheroe. You'll gain real workplace experience across office administration, compliance documentation, and finance while working towards your AAT Level 2 qualification.

What You'll Be Doing

General Administration & Office Support
  1. Answer calls, emails and post, keeping responses prompt and professional
  2. Keep digital and physical filing systems accurate, including job records, certificates and compliance documents
  3. Support diary management and scheduling for engineers and site visits
  4. Order and manage office and site supplies
Health, Safety & Compliance
  1. Help prepare and maintain risk assessments, method statements and site documentation
  2. Support record-keeping in line with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and CDM 2015
  3. Maintain training records, certifications and RAMS filing
  4. Assist with H&S inductions and safe systems of work paperwork
Finance & Invoicing
  1. Raise and process sales invoices and purchase orders
  2. Help chase outstanding payments and keep financial records accurate
  3. Support quote preparation and job costings under supervision
  4. Liaise with the company accountant as needed
Customer & Client Liaison
  1. Be a first point of contact for clients, keeping things professional and friendly
  2. Coordinate job bookings and keep clients updated on scheduling and progress
  3. Handle queries and escalate where needed
  4. Help build strong relationships with existing and new customers

What We're Looking For

Essential:
  1. GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and maths (or equivalent)
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  3. Organised, with good attention to detail
  4. Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  5. Reliable, punctual and professional
  6. Full UK driving licence, as the role involves supporting scheduling for site visits
  7. Willingness to learn and take on responsibility
Desirable:
  1. Previous experience in an office or customer-facing role
  2. Interest in construction, electrical or engineering sectors
  3. Familiarity with basic bookkeeping or invoicing

Qualification gained: AAT Level 2

Skills required
