AAT Level 2 Apprentice – Accounts & Business Support

Kick-start your career in finance and business administration with a hands-on AAT Level 2 apprenticeship at a well-established electrical services company based near Whalley, Clitheroe. You'll gain real workplace experience across office administration, compliance documentation, and finance while working towards your AAT Level 2 qualification.
What You'll Be Doing
General Administration & Office Support- Answer calls, emails and post, keeping responses prompt and professional
- Keep digital and physical filing systems accurate, including job records, certificates and compliance documents
- Support diary management and scheduling for engineers and site visits
- Order and manage office and site supplies
- Help prepare and maintain risk assessments, method statements and site documentation
- Support record-keeping in line with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and CDM 2015
- Maintain training records, certifications and RAMS filing
- Assist with H&S inductions and safe systems of work paperwork
- Raise and process sales invoices and purchase orders
- Help chase outstanding payments and keep financial records accurate
- Support quote preparation and job costings under supervision
- Liaise with the company accountant as needed
- Be a first point of contact for clients, keeping things professional and friendly
- Coordinate job bookings and keep clients updated on scheduling and progress
- Handle queries and escalate where needed
- Help build strong relationships with existing and new customers
What We're Looking For
Essential:- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and maths (or equivalent)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised, with good attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Full UK driving licence, as the role involves supporting scheduling for site visits
- Willingness to learn and take on responsibility
- Previous experience in an office or customer-facing role
- Interest in construction, electrical or engineering sectors
- Familiarity with basic bookkeeping or invoicing
Qualification gained: AAT Level 2
