A fantastic opportunity is available for a caring and enthusiastic individual to join a nursery setting as an Early Years Apprentice. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in childcare while working towards a recognized Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification. You will gain hands-on experience supporting children aged 0–5, helping with their development, learning, and day-to-day care in a safe and nurturing environment. As an Early Years Apprentice, you will support the nursery team in delivering high-quality childcare and early education. You will be involved in a range of activities that support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing. Key responsibilities include supporting the care and development of children aged 0–5, assisting with daily nursery routines, including feeding, changing, and supervising children, helping deliver activities such as games, storytelling, singing, and role play, supporting children’s learning in areas such as language, communication, and numeracy, ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging environment at all times, building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, communicating effectively with parents and carers, and following safeguarding, health, and safety procedures. Candidates should possess GCSEs (or equivalent), including English (Grade 4 or above) and Maths (Grade 4 or above). Candidates should have strong communication skills, a caring and patient approach, good organization and time management skills, the ability to work as part of a team, a creative and enthusiastic attitude, attention to detail, a willingness to learn and develop, reliability and punctuality, and a positive and non-judgmental approach. Training includes working towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship, gaining practical, hands-on experience in a nursery environment, and receiving ongoing support and mentoring throughout the apprenticeship. Career progression opportunities exist to move into a permanent role, with future roles such as Nursery Practitioner or Early Years Educator, and progression to higher-level childcare qualifications.
