Apprentice Service & Installation Engineer

What you'll be doing
From day one you'll be working alongside experienced engineers in the field, developing real, hands-on skills:
- Installing pipework, compressors, dryers, and compressed air equipment at customer sites across the region
- Carrying out planned maintenance on HPC compressors and associated products
- Attending equipment breakdowns — diagnosing faults, identifying parts, and getting customers back up and running
- Working closely with our technical and admin teams to make sure jobs run smoothly
No two days are the same, and you'll quickly build confidence working in a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
Skills required
- An interest in how mechanical and electrical systems work
- A practical, problem-solving mindset
- Reliability and a willingness to learn
- A full UK driving licence (or working towards one) — you'll be travelling to customer sites
Qualifications required
- GCSE Maths & English 4 or above

You'll receive structured training from leading industry suppliers including HPC, Omega, Infinity, and Hi-Line, alongside your formal apprenticeship programme delivered with Exeter College. Health & Safety training is included from the start.
By the end of your apprenticeship, you'll hold a nationally recognised qualification and the practical experience to match.
