David Britnell Eventing is a professional event yard in Cambridgeshire, specialising in the backing and producing of young horses up to 5* event horses. We seek a senior equine groom to join the team, providing a great opportunity for someone looking to step up into a more supervisory role in equine. The role will include the day-to-day running of the yard alongside team members, performing daily yard duties, trimming up, clipping, bathing, show preparation, and, for the right candidate, opportunities to ride. You will also supervise other staff members. Previous experience working on a competition yard is desirable but not essential. However, applicants must have experience working with horses. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, passionate, driven individuals who use initiative and have a common-sense approach to their work. Working outdoors in all weathers is a requirement, and applicants should ensure they can commute daily as no accommodation is available. David Britnell Eventing offers a full-time position to our apprentice after qualification completion, with opportunities to gain more experience and progress in our team, potentially moving to head girl/boy or show groom roles.
