Early Years Educator
Wimbledon Village Montessori School · London
As an Early Years Educator, you work with and care for children from birth to 5 years. You play a massive role in supporting children to have the best start to their education. As an Early Years specialist, you personally help to close the gap and increase the life chances of the children you work with.
Your apprenticeship comprises primarily hands-on work experience. You will work as part of a team planning, monitoring, and evaluating activities for children from birth to approximately five years of age. Ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of the children in the room at all times is essential. You will also build positive relationships with the children, families, colleagues, and internal/external professionals.
If you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience, you can share them. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
We are a multinational co-educational school, taking children from the ages of 2+ to 5 years old. Our children go on to take up places at the local Preparatory Schools and High Schools. We have a capacity to cater up to 40 children. We have an open door policy, which allows students and instructors to interact freely. The nursery has an outside area which is the Emmanuel church garden used for free play and is available during morning and afternoon sessions. We also use a large hall for Montessori work cycle and various movement activities
