Yeomans Honda Farnham offers an Autocare Technician Apprenticeship (Level 2).

The apprenticeship combines on the job training with funded off the job training at the Honda Institute Bracknell. Training is delivered through a mix of virtual classroom remote learning and face to face block release weeks at a state of the art training centre; all training costs, including travel, accommodation and meals, are fully covered.

A dedicated workplace mentor supports ongoing development as you apply skills gained during remote sessions and at the Honda Institute.

The role uses diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults, tests parts and systems, follows checklists to inspect critical parts, performs a bumper to bumper service and inspection, and maintains electronic systems including onboard entertainment. You ensure legible paperwork for customers and records, and maintain a clean, tidy work environment.

You work with traditional, hybrid and electric engines across a range of vehicles from heritage to modern technology, gaining varied technical training.

Upon completion you earn the Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard in Autocare Technician, a Certificate in Automotive Refrigerant Handling, a Level 2 qualification for safe isolation of electric and hybrid vehicles, Fire Awareness Training, Emergency First Aid for Appointed Persons, and progression toward the Level 3 apprenticeship standard in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

After completion you have opportunities to advance to team leader or manager roles within the retail network.

Qualifications required

GCSE grades 9-4 (A-C) in English, Maths and one other subject; Scotland: Scottish National 5 Grades A-C in English and Maths; Equivalents include BTEC first diplomas/certificates, OCR Nationals, Key Skills Level 2, NVQs, Essential Skills (Wales), Functional Skills Level 2, Core Skills (Scotland); Predicted grades accepted; conditional offers possible.

You gain apprenticeship qualifications and brand certifications.
