Asa Hairdressing Apprentice, you'll learn from experienced stylists while workingtowards a nationally recognised qualification with Reflections TrainingAcademy. Every day will bring new opportunities to develop your creativity,build your confidence and master the skills needed to become a successful hairprofessional.

Yourrole will include:

  • Welcoming and looking after salon clients.
  • Shampooing, conditioning and preparing clients for styling services.
  • Assisting stylists with colouring, cutting, finishing techniques and braiding

.

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the salon.
  • Learning about professional hair products and recommending them to clients.
  • Developing outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Building practical skills through hands-on experience working with type 4 hair at the salon and attending the training academy.
This apprenticeship offersthe chance to earn while you learn, gain valuable industry experience and starta rewarding career with excellent progression opportunities.Many apprentices go on to become qualified stylists, type 4 hair specialists,salon managers or even salon owners.

Qualifications required

No formal qualifications are usually required. Applicants should have a genuine interest in hairdressing, good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) are beneficial but not always essential.

Training you'll get

  • Full on-the-job training within the salon with experienced stylists

  • Work-based learning towards a recognised Hairdressing qualification (e.g. Level 2/Level 3)

  • Training in cutting, colouring, styling, blow-drying, and client consultation techniques

  • Health and safety, hygiene, and salon professionalism training

  • Product knowledge and retail training using professional haircare brands

  • Customer service and communication skills development

  • Regular progress reviews and mentor support

  • Potential to progress to a qualified stylist role upon completion

Future prospects

  • Opportunity to progress to a fully qualified Hair Stylist or Senior Stylist role
