Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Understand Risk processes, workflows, controls, decision logic, and data flows.
  • Identify manual, repetitive, or inefficient processes that could be improved through automation or AI.
  • Extract, clean, analyse, and interpret risk-related data from relevant tooling and systems.
  • Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and insight-led outputs for Risk stakeholders.
  • Use data analysis to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and potential risk indicators.
  • Apply SQL, Python, and analytical techniques to support data preparation, automation, and reporting.
  • Help design AI-enabled solutions such as automated summaries, smarter reporting, workflow automation, and decision-support outputs.Translate business problems into clear data, automation, or AI use cases.
  • Document business logic, process steps, data assumptions, and automated workflows.
  • Work with Risk colleagues to test, improve, and scale practical solutions.

Skills required

  • Strong interest in AI, data science, automation, and analytics.
  • Curiosity about risk management, business processes, and how decisions are made.
  • Ability to break down problems, understand logic, and spot opportunities for improvement.
  • Confidence working with data, including basic analysis in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Willingness to learn SQL, Python, dashboarding, and AI tooling.
  • Strong attention to detail when working with data, controls, and process steps.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain findings simply.
  • Comfortable asking questions, learning from others, and working through ambiguity.
  • Proactive mindset, especially in identifying manual work that could be simplified or automated.

Qualifications required

GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above. A-levels (or Btec), preferably in Maths/Physics or related subject. 104 UCAS point required and above UCAS tariff points.
