A lovely countryside setting in the heart of Devon — halfway between Okehampton and Crediton.
The Role:
You’ll work alongside our Head Chef and team in a busy daytime restaurant producing a menu of:
• Main meals & cafe/pub classics
• Light bites
• Cakes, scones and seasonal bakes
• Daily/weekly specials
You’ll be given the chance to create your own specials too.
List of duties:
- Food preparation and cooking as directed by chefs.
- Personal hygiene and cleanliness
- Follow Food Hygiene Standards at all times
- With guidance from Chefs ensure Health and
- Safety Procedures, processes and record keeping (SFBB) are kept up to date to ensure we are compliant with all regulations
- Consistent excellence in display and presentation of food prepared
- Ensure cleaning rota & daily processes are followed to maintain high level of cleanliness.
- Communicate with front of house team in a positive manner
- Following of instructions of the tasks to be undertaken as instructed by chefs and managers
- Always being a team player with a positive attitude
- Excellence in Customer Services
- Following of all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Ad hoc projects as requested by supervisor/manager

Qualifications required
Ideally Maths and English GCSE 4/C’s or above.
Training you'll get
One day a week at College to obtain Level 2 Professional Chef qualification.
Skills officer visit every 6-8 weeks
