We are looking for a motivated and creative Trainee Social Media Assistant to join our growing team working entirely in the fitness industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in digital marketing and social media.
You don’t need extensive experience—we’re looking for enthusiasm, creativity, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in social media platforms and content creation. Full training and mentoring will be provided. An interest and understanding of the fitness industry is desired but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with creating engaging content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X.
- Schedule posts using social media management tools.
- Monitor comments, messages and customer engagement.
- Support the creation of graphics, photos and short-form videos.
- Help maintain a consistent brand voice across all channels.
- Research trends, hashtags and competitor activity.
- Assist in planning social media campaigns and content calendars.
- Monitor basic performance metrics and prepare simple reports.
- Work alongside the marketing team on promotional campaigns.
- Keep up to date with emerging social media trends and platform updates.

As an apprentice you will be completing a level 3 Multi Channel Marketing Apprenticeship Standard.

Skills required
• Good attention to detail.
• Basic IT skills and confidence using smartphones and computers.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using Canva or similar design software is desirable
• Experience creating content for personal or business social media accounts.
• Basic photography or video editing skills.
• Understanding of major social media platforms and current trends.
