Senior Equine Groom Apprentice - Reybridge Eventing

General Duties will include:

  • Mucking out / keeping yard area tidy

  • Feeding / filling hay nets and water buckets

  • Turning in and out

  • Picking out feet / rugging up

  • Grooming / tacking up

  • Tack cleaning

  • Bathing / show prep

  • Lunging / long reining

  • Holding for farrier / vet / dentist

  • Riding for the right candidate

  • Potential opportunities to attend competitions and shows

Working Hours

Details of working days will be discussed with candidate, due to nature of the role you will be required to work on a weekend day. General working hours are 7:30am - 5.00pm

Skills required

  • Have good equine experience and be confident handling fit competiton horses

Qualifications required

  • Maths and English GCSE'S at grade 4 or above is desirable

  • Can have a Level 2 equine qualification

Training you'll get

  • You will be working towards the Level 3 Senior Equine apprenticeship qualification, and all training will be provided on-site during your paid working hours

  • Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach

Future prospects

  • There is the possibility to progress in this role to full time employment after completion, and also the possibility of traveling to European shows
