Unity5 builds the software behind parking and environmental enforcement for local authorities and private operators across the UK. We handle a lot of data, and finance sits close to the commercial decisions that data drives. We are around 170 people and growing – fast paced environment

This is a real finance job with a qualification attached, not a work-experience placement. From the start you will be producing work the business actually uses — and you will be given the time, study support and supervision to do it properly.

What you will be doing

● Monthly KPI reporting. Running the monthly KPI pack — pulling the numbers together, checking they hang together, and getting them out on time.

● Month end and operational finance. Preparing working papers for month end, and supporting the operational finance team with accounts payable and receivable where required.

● Pricing models. Building Excel pricing models to support our commercial finance work, helping the team put together proposals for new and existing customers.

● Customer data and SQL. Analysing our customer databases and building SQL reporting to answer questions the spreadsheets cannot.

What we are looking for

● Strong maths and a genuine interest in how a business makes money — not just in the numbers themselves.

● Careful and accurate, with the instinct to question a number that looks wrong rather than pass it on.

● Organised enough to juggle study alongside deadlines that do not move, such as month end.

● Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including Maths and English.

What you get

● Your AAT Level 3 qualification paid for in full, with paid study time during working hours — around one day a week, protected.

● A named manager in the finance team, structured reviews, and a clear plan for what you own by month 3, 6 and 12.

● A dedicated mentor to support through the apprenticeship – separate to the line manager

● Real exposure to commercial decisions, board reporting and month end close work from early on.
