Apprentice Sales Assistant - DFS Fixing Ltd

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic apprentice sales assistant to join our team in DFS Fixing Ltd. We are looking for someone to assist in the day to day running of the store, who is hard-working, conscientious and passionate about contributing towards the smooth and professional delivery of products to customers.
Duties Include:
- Greeting customers into the store, taking their order, and picking the products required.
- Dealing with customers in person, as well as over the telephone and email.
- Make contact with customers regarding current orders, for example: to let them know it is ready for collection, or that it could be delayed.
- Responding to queries from customers, potential customers and suppliers
- Processing sales orders, preparing quotations and customer returns.
- Placing purchase orders
- Imparting technical and product information to customers including offering alternative product choices
- Work effectively both independently and with other team members
- Product placement in the shop (replenishing stock, ensuring it looks attractive to customers).
- General shop housekeeping – ensuring items are in the correct place and keeping the showroom tidy.
- Maintain a professional work attitude and adhering to the companies policies at all times.
To become an apprentice, you must:
- Be 16 or over
- Not already be in full-time education
As an apprentice you’ll:
- Complete a retail apprenticeship standard
- Have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
- Learn and train for a specific job
- Get paid and receive holiday leave
- Get hands-on experience in a real job
- Study for at least 20% of your working hours
- Complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
- Be on a career path with lots of future potential
