Equine Groom Apprenticeship - Stud Yard

The breeding pathway is available with this position. Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience. What you'll do at work: All General Yard Duties: Mucking out and keeping the yard tidy, Preparing horses for shows, Grooming at shows, Some riding available for right candidate but this is a NON ridden pathway, Helping / learning about the breeding side, Handling stallions and youngstock. Training schedule: You will be working towards achieving the Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship with the employer and supported by Haddon Training. All training will take place at the employers premises. If you have not achieved grade 4/C in English and maths at GCSE, Haddon Training will support you in gaining Functional Skills qualifications in these subjects. This position is open to all candidates over 16, there is no accommodation available and the location is very rural so please make sure you can get there everyday before applying. There is livery available for own horse.
