The Role
To support the delivery of effective multi-channel marketing activity that promotes SIL services, builds brand awareness, and strengthens engagement with schools, partners and stakeholders.
The apprentice will work towards a Digital Marketing & AI Executive qualification, developing knowledge and skills in areas such as digital marketing, content creation, communications and campaign delivery, while contributing to a digital first approach.

Duties and Responsibilities

Campaign Delivery & Marketing Activity

  • Support the planning and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Contribute to scheduling and publishing activity across social media, email and website platforms.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure campaigns align with priorities and messaging.
  • Monitor campaign timelines and flag risks or delays.

Content Creation & Digital Communications

  • Assist in creating content including social media posts, articles, newsletters and visuals.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and organisational messaging.
  • Adapt content for different audiences and platforms to maximise engagement.
  • Gather content from internal teams to support promotion of services.

Website & Digital Platform Management
  • Update and maintain website content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Support improvements to accessibility and usability of online content.
  • Ensure consistency across website and other digital platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve user experience and engagement.


Marketing Performance & Insight
  • Monitor performance using analytics tools (e.g. social media insights, email metrics).
  • Support the creation of simple performance reports.
  • Identify trends and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to improving campaign effectiveness based on insights.

Events, Promotion & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support the organisation and promotion of events and training programmes.
  • Liaise with internal teams and partners to gather and share information.
  • Promote services through appropriate channels to reach target audiences.
  • Contribute to maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.

Brand, Digital First & Continuous Development
  • Ensure consistency in branding across all marketing materials.
  • Support digital-first initiatives and reduce unnecessary print.
  • Participate fully in apprenticeship learning and apply learning to practice.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of marketing tools and best practice.

Skills required

Qualifications required

  • Educated to GCSE level (including passes in English and Maths) or equivalent
  • Willingness to work towards and complete the Level 3 Digital Marketing & AI Executive apprenticeship
  • Good basic IT and digital skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, social media platforms)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Digital Marketing and AI Executive and Certified Digital Marketing Professional by DMI, with training in how to:

  • Master the art of crafting compelling content tailored for diverse audiences and a variety of marketing channels, ensuring sensitivity and effectiveness in communication.
  • Analyse and integrate information from the multi-channel marketing landscape to inform and optimise both short-term tactics and long-term strategies.
  • Implement secure, innovative solutions using a broad spectrum of digital tools and platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences while achieving marketing objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of multi-channel marketing activities, measuring success and providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
  • Create and interpret insightful analytical dashboards utilising advanced digital tools, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
