What apprenticeships do Channel 4 offer?
Human Resources Apprentice
Want to work in HR? In this role you will be supporting the HR team by providing a professional and effective service providing first line support to Channel 4 employees and line managers, maintenance of the HR systems and employee data and providing accurate and timely information to outsourced suppliers. You will also study towards a Level 3 Human Resources Support Qualification.
Digital Sales Apprentice
In this role, you will work with the wider team to maximise commercial revenue from a defined list of external media agencies. You will be responsible for maintaining Channel 4’s market leading reputation within these media agencies, whilst being a “go-to” digital expert to the other Sales Assistants within the Agency Sales team. You will also study towards a Level 3 Digital Marketer Qualification.
Marketing and Social Media Apprentice
In this role you will be reporting into a Marketing Manager, you will be a key member of the Marketing team. Supporting the team to produce campaigns that successfully drive viewers to engage with Channel 4. As well as assisting with the department’s day to day tasks. You will also study towards a Level 3 Digital Marketer Qualification.
Partnership Apprentice
You will be offering administrative support to the Channel 4 Partnership Team based within 4Sales, enabling the team to bring in as much revenue as possible through partnerships. By supporting sales presentations, maintaining effective filing systems as well as being involved with the set up and running of commercial events. You will also study towards a Level 3 Digital Marketer Qualification.
Production Runner Apprentice
In this role you would be assisting the production department in all aspects of production across all Channel 4 channels and in all media: off air; on air; digital; interactive both in-house and on shoots. Working alongside the Production Assistants (PAs) and reporting to the Production Executive, the role will give you a greater understanding of the start to end production process in a fast-paced department. You will also study towards a level 3 Junior Content Producer Qualification.
All 4 Analytics Apprentice
During your time in the All 4 analytics team you’ll get involved in all areas of the work Channel 4 do. There will be specific projects for you to work on and you will be helped to quickly build up your data analytics skills and knowledge of the media industry. There will also be exposure to various other departments across Channel 4 such as Marketing, Media Planning, Strategy and Sales. You will also study towards a Level 4 NVQ in Project Management.
Corporate Relations Apprentice
The Corporate Relations Apprentice will support the Corporate Relations team by assisting with the organisation and execution of events and general administration. You will be involved in administrating bits and bobs as well as researching people to provide briefings ahead of meetings and help to manage guest lists. You will also study towards a level 4 Associate Project Manager Qualification.
Commercial Content Apprentice
You’ll need to have a real passion for numbers, enjoy working with data and finding solutions to problems on your own initiative for this role. You should also have the ability to provide a great level of service to your stakeholders. This role is the day to day point of contact for multiple external and internal customers including Ad Sales, Finance, Ad Operations, Product Management and Product Development teams and has responsibility for C4’s online inventory forecasts. You will also study towards a Level 3 Digital Marketer Qualification.
Cyber Security Apprentice
You would gain insight into all areas of Cyber security in the broadcasting industry, from Commissioning to Legal, Press and publicity to technology as a cyber security apprentice. You will have the chance to see from the inside why the broadcast industry has become a target for hackers and infiltrators, and be a key part of securing the Channel. Over the two years you will get to use real systems and gain in depth knowledge of the multi levelled security approach adopted by Channel 4. You will also be studying towards a level 4 NVQ in Cyber security technologist qualification.
Press & Publicity Apprentice
Picture Publicity in Channel 4 are looking for a creative individual to support the team in organising shoots to deliver images of a high standard to promote Channel 4 and E4 programmes to viewers. You’ll be managing internal requests for the supply of images, assisting in picture publicists and setting up and being involved in photo shoots! You will also study towards a Level 3 Digital Marketer Qualification.
All 4 Platform Editor Apprentice
An amazing opportunity to work in a great team within Channel 4's Commissioning department and gain valuable experience by supporting the Platform team in bringing All 4 and it's sub-brands to life. You’ll be organising and uploading content, writing engaging blogs and editing images for online use. You will get a level 4 NVQ Junior Content Producer Qualification.
Agency Sales Apprentice
With this role, you’ll be processing multi-media campaigns for Channel 4 clients & partners, monitoring campaigns or accuracy of delivery and recognising to ongoing agency and queries. You also need to ensure that deadlines are met and be aware of new industry guidelines. You will also get a level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship Qualification.
Nations & Regions Apprentice
This is primarily an entry-level admin role to start with. Channel 4 are really keen to meet motivated individuals with a passion for TV keen to make the most of this experience. This role is well suited to you if you are interested in working in TV but has perhaps struggled to find a way in. There are a number of options on what you could study which can be discussed with you.
Legal Apprentice - Level 3 NVQ Paralegal
With this apprenticeship, you will work within the Legal & Compliance Team, giving general administrative support over a 24-month period under supervision. The apprentice will gain experience and eventually work autonomously advising on low level compliance issues under supervision. You will also get a level 3 NVQ Paralegal qualification.

Applications for the apprenticeships open on 13th June and Close on 30th July. If you are selected for an Assessment day, they are between 7th-29th September and if you are successful and get the job you will start on 30th October.
